Unfortunately The Eagles in Penmachno does not serve food; so eating out will involve a car or taxi journey.

We recommend the Conwy Falls Café (01690 710696), who provide excellent home cooked food and a great pizza. A little further down the A5 is the Silver Fountain Inn (01690 710456) a family run pub with very good food and a curry night on Wednesdays. More up market (and definitely requiring table reservation 01690 710383) is the Ty Gwyn Hotel which has earned a well deserved place in the Good Pub Guide.

For Fish and Chips, we recommend a trip to Llanrwst to the Tir A Mor Fish & Chip Shop, 9 Denbigh Street (01492 640421).

Betws-y-Coed has excellent restaurants and Capel Curig has 3 pubs with hearty bar menus.
